Nordicare Textile Protector | Where To Use It
The old classic fabric protectors or also known as scotchgard, used to contain high levels of chemicals that were toxic for the person that was applying it and for the end user. Also, those old products used to harden up the fiber and reduce the items flexibility. Then Nordicare came up with the new Nordicare Textile Protector and things have changed dramatically. This product can be successfully used to seal, waterproof and stainproof pretty much any type of fabric. If you own a sofa that is exposed to a lot of use and abuse, you can seal it with the new Nordicare Textile Protector. If you own a pair of shoes that are getting wet all the time, you can definitely seal it with the new Nordicare Textile Protector. If you love skiing but all your gear gets wet too fast, you can seal it with the new Nordicare Textile Protector. The product can be used by DIY users or the professional trade. It basically penetrates the fabrics fiber and it creates a barrier between the dirt | liquids and the fabric itself.
Nordicare Textile Protector | How To Use It
There is no training required to use the new Nordicare Textile Protector. No specific tools needed. All you need to do is to make sure that whatever surface you plan to seal is clean and dry and you are ready to go.
- Shake the spray bottle for about 10 seconds to create a uniform composition
- Spray a fine mist of the product all over the item making sure not to miss patches
- Let it dry for about 2 hours before using it as usual
- Job completed
About 2 hours later you can do a sample test to check the results. Spray some water on the item and see if the water manages to penetrate. If the job was done right, the water should puddle up on the item or it should just leak down if applied to a vertical surface. If the water manages to penetrate some areas, that means that those areas were either missed or not sealed with enough product. Apply one more coat until the desired results are achieved.
Nordicare Textile Protector | Recommendation
A fabric protector does not 100% waterproof or stain proof a surface. The product will increase the “water resistance” and “stain resistance” levels. A surface sealed with the new Nordicare Textile Protector will not absorb liquids as fast and it will not stain as badly as a surface that was not sealed. If a spill happens on an unsealed surface, the liquid will stain instantly. If the same liquid is spilled on a sealed surface, it will be kept on the top for a longer period of time and it will give you a chance to extract it with a clean cloth.
Do not apply the new product over wet surfaces. Do not apply the product over dirty surfaces. Do not soak the fiber with the Nordicare Textile Protector. Do not use the sealed item for at least 2 hours after the initial treatment. Do not apply to leather surfaces. Do not breathe the product while applying it to the surface. Store the product away from direct sunlight.
