Some very high traffic floor lacquers might provide superior protection but if you try to remove it from some surfaces you will find it very difficult to do so. For some types of projects there is no need to use such tough sealers. A domestic bedroom or a living room, will only receive so much traffic. The ideal water based floor lacquer for domestic wooden floors is the new Carver House / Residential Polyurethane Floor Lacquer . This product will provide years of protection and will enhance the look of your home. The new Carver House / Residential Polyurethane Floor Lacquer will cover around 10-12 sq meters per 1L, it will not change its looks after a few months of use (unlike the old solvent based lacquers) and it will allow the wood to breathe. A great floor lacquer for sealing tables, wall panels, frames & doors. It maintains the natural look of the wood without glazing it.

Carver House | Residential Polyurethane Floor Lacquer – How to use

Remove all imperfections and all old finishes from your wooden floors. Use a proper quality dustless floor sander and make sure that you start with 40 grit and you stop at 80 grit. Vacuum the floor well and you can prepare for lacquer application. You will need to apply 3 coats of sealer to make sure that the wood surface is fully protected. You can use 1 coat of primer (solvent based or water based) & 2 coats of floor lacquer or you can apply 3 coats of floor lacquer without a primer. You will need to re-sand the floor after the first coat is dry. Remember to work in well ventilated areas and make sure that the floor is 100% dust free and residue free before you seal it.

Carver House | Residential Polyurethane Floor Lacquer is not compatible with oil based wood stains. This product is not suitable for high traffic commercial floors.
