Bona Natural Primer – Where to use

Some wood fibres could look amazing without a sealer. But not having a sealer on a wooden surface can cause a number of problems. Staining, markings, easy scratching & water damage. You can keep the natural look of your wooden floor of furniture if you seal it with 1 coat of Bona Natural Primer and 2 coats of Bona Traffic Natural. A quick drying wood floor primer suitable for sealing floors, furniture, frames, toys, statues, etc. Fume free, it will not yellow & it does not glaze. A wooden floor primed will be smoother, it will absorb less lacquer and it will last longer.

Bona Natural Primer – How to use

Sand the whole surface until the wood surface looks natural and one even colour. Using a small varnishing brush, prime all the narrow areas and areas around the skirting board. For the larger surfaces use a varnishing roller. Apply enough primer to create a wet surface without over soaking the wood surface. Allow about 2 hours to fully dry and overcoat the surface with a single pack or a two pack floor lacquer. 1L of Bona Natural Primer will cover around 12 sq meters of floor.

Bona Natural Primer – Recommendations

A primer is not a floor finish. You need to apply 1 coat of primer & 2 coats of lacquer or varnish. Do not walk on the surface while drying and do not mix the wood primer with any other primers. Clean your tools after you are done with it. Make sure to order enough product to be able to finish the project . A 5L bottle will cover 50 sq meter of floor.
