The Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary/Muiriosa Foundation (hereafter called SCJM/Muiriosa Foundation) is an international religious order, The order operates in the field of healthcare and education. The organisation provides services in three distinct geographical regions, namely Moore Abbey (and the local services in Kildare), St Mary’s, Delvin (and the local services in Westmeath, Meath and Longford) and Laois/Offaly (community-based services). Since its foundation the main growth of activities and services has been in the midland region with the provision of an extensive variety of services to people of all ages with an intellectual disability, but catering mainly for people at the moderate, severe/profound level of disability.
