Castleblayney Enterprise Centre

General information

Castleblayney Enterprise Centre is a community centre, and landmark building located on the Dublin Road in Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan. It is run by Castleblayney Community Enterprise Ltd, a community group, formed in 1987 and its main objectives are to actively engage in community development activities whereby the economic, social, cultural and educational well-being of the community is enhanced.
Castleblayney Community Enterprise Ltd supported by Pobal, under the Community Service Programme, and as such Castleblayney Enterprise Centre play a pivotal role in the local community, by taking part in, organising or providing a number of important services for the local community including; the ownership and management of Castleblayney Enterprise Centre which provides workspace units and offices ideal for new enterprises, businesses or start ups to let or to rent, a wide array of training courses open to the public or for private group training, the hire of the IT suite/computer suite, training rooms, conference rooms and meeting rooms, and a secretarial service within the building. Education is also facilitated and provided to the local schools through environmental and cultural diversity Programmes. The group also stage the towns annual Muckno Mania summer festival, which has achieved huge success locally and beyond having achieved 3 Guinness World Records to date, and is currently working on facilitating a 4th Guinness World Record in July of 2016. Castleblayney Enterprise Centre also oversees the former Scouts Hall which is now used as a community facility and is also extensively used by a variety of local voluntary and community groups.
